The Scalapay by Visa Card

How does the Scalapay Card for physical stores (Offline Card) work?

Updated today

📱 What is it?

Scalapay lets you pay in instalments even in physical stores thanks to the Scalapay by Visa Offline Card, which you can use directly from your phone.

⚠️ Note: The Scalapay by Visa card is available in hundreds of physical stores, only for users who subscribe to Scalapay Club.

🧾 How do I use it?

  1. Open your Scalapay app

  2. Go to the section “In store”

  3. Create your Offline Card for the store you want to shop at
(Don’t forget to enable location to see available stores!)
Look for stores that show the Scalapay by Visa card symbol

  4. Save the card immediately in your Apple Wallet / Google Wallet / Samsung Pay

  5. Activate the card and enter the amount of your purchase

  6. Open your wallet, select the Scalapay card and hold your phone near the POS to pay

⚠️ Important

If you don’t save the card in your wallet right away, you won’t be able to retrieve it.

In that case, you’ll need to create a new one from scratch.

The card won’t appear again in your Scalapay app after creation, so make sure to follow the on-screen steps and save it immediately.

🔁 How is it different from the Online Virtual Card?

  • The Offline Card is for physical stores only

  • It stays saved in your wallet, but its card details (number, expiry, CVV) change with every use

  • It needs to be activated and linked to a store for each purchase

🛒 Where can I use it?

You can use the Offline Card with Apple or Android devices.

It’s accepted in:

Partner and affiliate stores – You’ll see them in your Scalapay app with the card symbol

❗️ You can browse stores from the “In store” section of the app

🌟 Scalapay Club

Only Scalapay Club members have access to the Offline Card.

With the Club, you can pay in installments at over 300 physical stores.
