You can create only one barcode at a time.
When you generate the code, Scalapay makes a pre-authorization on your card equal to the amount of the first installment, based on the total you want to split.
This pre-authorization temporarily blocks the amount on your account until you use the barcode or until it expires.
You can cancel the code at any time by clicking “Cancel barcode”. After cancellation, if you wish, you can create a new one.
If you don’t use the code within 10 minutes or you cancel it, the pre-authorization is immediately voided and the amount becomes available again on your account.
⏳ Depending on your bank, it may take 1 to 3 business days for the amount to be visible again. If in doubt, you can always check with your bank.
💡 Tip: create the barcode only when you’re sure you want to complete the purchase.
